There are several different volunteering opportunities with full training and support provided. These are just some of our volunteer roles available in Airdrie CAB:

Generalist Adviser -  interviews clients, provide information and advice to help clients make an informed decision, act on behalf of the client where necessary and maintain accurate case records.

Receptionist -  welcomes clients to the bureau, explain waiting times and procedures, answer the telephone, refer calls or take messages and carry out other administrative duties as required.

Administrator – assists with general administration duties within the bureau and includes typing letters, filing, photocopying/scanning, answering telephone, taking messages and updating databases.

Social Policy Worker – keeps up-to-date with social policy issues, help maintain a system for handling bureau evidence and contributing to effective of social policy work within the bureau.

Social Media Organiser – assists with producing content for Facebook, Twitter, & blogs and any other platforms & monitors performance.

IT Support Worker – assists with training and support in day-to-day use of IT systems, trouble shooting any hardware or software problems and help maintain bureau network.

Fundraising Volunteer – includes researching potential fundraising opportunities, developing strategies and plans, drafting and delivering presentations and assisting with organising any events.

Board Member Volunteer – involves taking an active part in the strategic management of the bureau.
