Volunteer with Airdrie CAB
Could you help make a difference in your community?
Airdrie Citizens Advice Bureau is looking for volunteers to join our next Adviser Training Programme, starting this autumn.
Our advisers help people deal with a wide range of issues, from benefits and debt to housing, employment and consumer problems. Often, people come to us at a difficult time in their lives, looking for practical help and someone who will listen. As a volunteer adviser, you can make a real difference by helping people understand their options and move forward.
You don't need previous advice experience. We're looking for people with good communication skills, a willingness to learn and confidence in reading, writing and basic numeracy. We'll provide full training and ongoing support throughout your volunteering journey.
In return, you'll gain valuable experience, develop new skills and become part of a friendly, supportive team that is committed to helping local people.
If you enjoy helping others and can spare at least seven hours a week, we'd love to hear from you.
