Airdrie CAB Launches Warm Up for Winter Campaign
Over the coming weeks, Airdrie Citizens Advice Bureau will be raising awareness of the support available to individuals and families facing increased financial pressures as part of our Warm Up for Winter Campaign.
With energy costs continuing to represent a significant household expense for many people, concerns about heating homes and managing utility bills become increasingly prominent as the colder months approach. Through our day-to-day advice work, we regularly assist clients experiencing difficulties with energy costs, fuel debt, budgeting pressures and wider cost-of-living challenges.
The aim of the campaign is to encourage people to seek advice at an early stage and to ensure that local residents are aware of the help that may be available to them. Many individuals are unaware of their entitlement to financial support or the options available when they begin to experience difficulties meeting essential household costs.
Throughout the week, the bureau will use its website and social media channels to highlight key information on a range of issues, including:
- Managing rising energy costs
- Dealing with fuel debt and arrears
- Maximising income through benefits and other entitlements
- Accessing grants and financial assistance schemes
- Household budgeting and money advice
- Consumer rights in relation to energy suppliers
- Support available to vulnerable households during the winter months
