First step to stand workshop In partnership with Elect Her, North Lanarkshire Council are holding a workshop to encourage women in North Lanarkshire to get more involved in local democracy.

Whether you would like to make a difference in your local community or want to put yourself forward to be a councillor, come along and find out more about how to get involved.

The event is on Tuesday 3 March at 6.30pm at the Civic Centre in Motherwell. You’ll hear from local councillors about their roles and how they became involved, as well as find out about different ways you can be involved in local democracy.
